A friend of mine who saw my new blog sent me a link to this self-published book on LuLu, “Dr. Karkar’s Miracle Natural Migraine Cure.” You can download it for $3.83 or buy the paperback for $8.47. Don’t bother! It’s seven pages, including the title page, with one or two short paragraphs per page.
His “cure?” A particular vitamin supplement and reducing your caffine intake. The page on LuLu lists Karen Peebles as the publisher. I have to give them credit for one thing — having the chutzpah to put that up there, much less charge people for it.
So, want to make a few bucks? Choose a dietary supplent. Any harmless one will do. Proclaim it to be a cure. Then go publish a little book online and charge such a low price that some will buy it because they’re desperated for relief and others, like me, will buy it to get a good laugh. NOT!
PS: I post this with sincere apologies to the cute little “quacker” whose photo I used. 😛
